I cant recall whether this was Ilford Hp5 or Kentmere. This was my first roll of caffenol and the reasons that I sacrificed it for the first test were that most of the film was shot on an extremely overcast dark day and had thought perhaps it wouldn’t be the worst roll to loose in an experimental process. Thankfully it came out much better than expected for a first attempt, and had that added trick of containing a few photos from another day that I forgot I took and was happy to have salvaged.
The trees and river came out as expected but the whiteness and the ghosty quality actually makes it look more like my memory of that day than an accurate photo could have captured. They are wintery and spooky. Not correct but thats ok. I could probably edit more detail into them or adjust the exposure but for the purpose of these tests I just converted the scans to black and white.
