Rosemary

This roll was one of two taken on a winter walk on a very flat dark day. This was the first time I used Rosemary from my garden fresh as a developing agent. I got lovely results, it’s tough to tell the dynamic range available with this recipe due to the conditions the roll was shot under but it definitely translated the muted grey mood gorgeously.

This roll is much clearer that all my last results due to one of those tiny revelations that can come only from connecting with others. I took an online workshop with The Sustainable Darkroom and realised that the washing soda quantities I had been using all along in all my developers was incorrect due to a miscalculation on the water content in the brand I was using. Such a small thing, but suddenly the whole roll came out perfectly.
